In the OntFront Spring 2010 runway show, designer Liza Koifman and creative director Tomas Overtoom took a radical departure from the [gender-bending themes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shapes-we-take) we’ve seen lately and headed back in time—to the Middle Ages, that is.

Blazers and dress shirts were flanked with pieces from a [coat of armor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-nicholson-fw25) as models were turned into knights for the OntFront Spring 2010 show. Even the knight chess piece made an appearance on shirts to bring the theme of old-school masculinity home.
