No? Well even if it's never crossed your mind before, PropertyRoom.com is giving you the chance to make it happen anyway! The online police auctions site has goods confiscating by the police. The site has everything from laptops starting at only $1 to Personal Alcohol Detectors for $25, and yes, even an actual '92 PO9 Ram van for $870. Just like [eBay](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lastminute-auction), Property Room also has a "buy now" section that doesn't require any bidding, so you can snap up those goodies instantly, without the chance of losing out to another keen bidder. I'm actually a little tempted to buy some of that camera gear or incredible pieces of art! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 62% | Activity: 30% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Internet](https://www.trendhunter.com/internet) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Online Police Auctions:** PropertyRoom.com offers a new platform for online police auctions, creating a new way for individuals to purchase unique items directly from law enforcement confiscations. - **Confiscated Items Resale Market:** The sale of confiscated items from law enforcement entities creates a new resale market for a large variety of products, thereby disrupting the traditional retail model. - **Direct-to-consumer Auctions:** The direct-to-consumer model of PropertyRoom.com's online auctions disrupts the traditional auction house model, increasing access of unique items to the general public. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Retail:** The confiscated items market disrupts traditional retail by offering unique, affordable items directly to consumers. - **Law Enforcement:** The use of online auctions to sell confiscated items changes the traditional process for disposal of confiscated items, creating a new opportunity for law enforcement agencies. - **Auction Houses:** The direct-to-consumer model of PropertyRoom.com's online auctions disrupts the traditional auction house model, potentially forcing a shift in the industry towards online auctions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Electric Microbus Charity Auctions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/id-buzz-virtual-auction.md) - [Camper Van Giveaways](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mercedes-sprinter.md) - [Pursuit-Rated Pickup Trucks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chevrolet-silverado-police-pursuit-vehicle.md) - [Mysterious Painted Car-Door Auctions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crazy-horse.md) - [Accessible Off-Grid Camper Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/procamp-camper-van.md) - [Customized Vehicle Builds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dude-ram.md) - [Beverage Production Equipment Auctions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beverage-production-equipment.md) - [Auction Discovery Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lastminute-auction.md) - [Carbon Fiber Expedition Trucks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/truckhouse-bcr.md)
