# Playful Apartment Makeovers The Onda Apartment Reimagines an ’80s Layout with Fluid Form and Color By Amy Duong | Published 2025-10-08 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/onda-apartment References: [altodesignstudio.si](https://altodesignstudio.si/) The Onda Apartment is bright and bold, which reinvents a dated 1980s flat by injecting curves, moments of surprise, and a lighthearted color palette. The redesign dismantles rigid axes in favor of gently bending walls and softened corners, creating a continuous movement through space. Surfaces roll into niches while partitions fold into multifunctional zones, morphing barriers into transitions. Some unexpected materials and textures punctuate the layout, which include the terrazzo steps merging with curved upholstery, and patterned tiles animate between wet and dry zones. Reflected surfaces keep the interior lively, while arched alcoves and playful holes frame functional moments like floating desks or window seats. Through the Onda Apartment, the designers envision an apartment that feels joyful, tactile, and spontaneous, letting the spirit of play guide everyday life.
