The concept behind the Omri Barzeey Starlight lamp is to recreate the starry nights you've spent lying on your back watching the stars. To replicate the experience, flexible polygonic material is used to build the head of the lamp with 126 LED studded lights are inserted into it. Because of the flexibility of the material, you can bend and manipulate the lamps shape to create the illusion of scattered stars. It's a clever, simple design with a great concept behind it. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 34% | Activity: 45% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Flexible Lighting:** The concept of using flexible material in lighting design to create customizable and unique lighting experiences offers an opportunity for disruptive innovation. - **LED Lighting:** The use of LED lighting technology in creating innovative lighting design offers an opportunity for disruptive innovation. - **Interactive Lighting:** The trend towards interactive lighting that responds to user manipulation or commands offers an opportunity for disruptive innovation. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** Flexible and interactive lighting designs such as the Starlight lamp offer opportunities for disruptive innovation in the interior design industry. - **Lighting Manufacturing:** LED lighting technology offers opportunities for disruptive innovation within the lighting manufacturing industry. - **Smart Home Technology:** Interactive lighting designs that respond to user commands or manipulation offer opportunities for disruptive innovation within the smart home technology industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Eclipse-Inspired Whimsical Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-traveler.md) - [Moon-Inspired Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lua.md) - [Spaced-Themed LED Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-room.md) - [Dazzling Gradient Lighting Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-bulb.md) - [Mushroom-Inspired Sleek Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lunar-lamp-concept.md) - [Calming Orb Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orb-lamp1.md) - [Luxurious Futuristic Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/futuristic-table-lamp.md) - [Geometric Nostalgic Night Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handmaid-table-lamp.md) - [Elegant Compact Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-table-light.md)
