The Omena House by Danny Forster in Michigan is one of the most clever [eco designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/west-don-ravine-passive-house) I've seen for a private residence yet. The Omena House is full of eco features, from recycled newspaper countertops to floors made of locally-harvested bamboo and a [vegetative roof](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-by-the-grove).

The most promising aspect of the Omena House by Danny Forster Design Studio, however, is what they call its 'Nano-Wall.' According to ArchDaily, this 15-foot wall uses wind for a hydronic radiant heating and cooling system that eliminates HVAC in favor of a [geothermal design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drop-pod) that controls the Omena House climate passively.
