Olson [Kundig](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leach-botanical-garden) designs a new home located Austin, Texas with [rusted steel materials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-xo) for a retired professional golfer. It is made with a stilt system that hovers over a ravine within a suburban neighborhood. The top of the slope opens up at the main entry and most of the living spaces are by the middle level that can be accessed from a bridge.

Tom Kundig of Olson Kundig talks about the home, stating that "We were able to very surgically insert the home into the ravine, leaving the landscape in its natural state as much as possible. As a result, we delivered a house that serves the lifestyle of our client and creates a super exciting perch to look out over the hills to the city of Austin beyond."
