The [all-white exterior](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hillsborough-residence) mimics the heads of the ancient creatures, seen in its replicas of familiar eyes and teeth. This [cranium-centric construction](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-house-with-an-inverted-roof) was erected in a suburban area, distinguishing it as a landmark piece of architecture in the region. Glass doors and windows have been deliberately placed to mimic the exact structure of dinosaur skulls, a choice that breaks with even the most modern of design concepts. The interior is quite different from the exterior however as it breaks with this motif. In its place are cascading staircases, large open concept kitchens, clear sliding doors and [oval shaped bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bone-studio). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 68% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Architectural Mimicry:** The OLS House demonstrates the trend of mimicking natural forms in architecture, opening up opportunities for designing buildings inspired by various creatures and objects. - **Unique Exterior Design:** The all-white exterior of the OLS House, resembling the heads of dinosaurs, showcases the trend of creating unconventional and eye-catching building facades. - **Contrasting Interior-exterior Concepts:** The contrasting interior design of the OLS House, featuring modern elements like cascading staircases and open concept kitchens, presents an opportunity for integrating unexpected interior spaces within unconventional architectural structures. ### Who This Affects Most - **Architecture:** The OLS House exemplifies how the architecture industry can explore innovative designs by drawing inspiration from natural forms and incorporating them into building structures. - **Real Estate:** The unique and visually striking exteriors of buildings like the OLS House can create disruptive opportunities in the real estate industry by attracting attention and creating a distinctive selling point for properties. - **Interior Design:** The contrasting interior design of the OLS House presents a chance for the interior design industry to create unexpected and dynamic spaces within buildings, exploring the interplay between outer appearances and interior functionality. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Fish Lifestyle-Inspired Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-of-gills.md) - [Sculptural Facade Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fractal-facade-house.md) - [Dynamic Y-Shaped Glazed Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-y-house.md) - [Sculptural Ruin Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-of-horns.md) - [Geometric Cave-Like Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cavelike-homes.md) - [Monolithic Sleek Summer Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vollerup-atrium.md) - [Anticipatory Architectural Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vulcan-house.md) - [Cave-Like Folded Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wild-house.md) - [Modern Sculptural Garden Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/priyam-home.md)
