The system draws design inspiration from the architecture of Seoul, Korea in the 1970s, which is evident with the [building-like speaker on the side](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-music-studio-5-and-7) that further enhances the turntable unit. This works to pay homage to a bygone era of architecture as it supports the analog audio needs of users with a penchant for vinyl records. The conceptual Old Future Turntable and Speaker is a somewhat Brutalist take on the classic record player that would work to enhance a space even when not in use. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 80% | Activity: 74% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Architecturally-inspired Audio Systems:** Opportunity for audio companies to create innovative audio systems that combine functionality with architectural design. - **Analog Audio Resurgence:** Opportunity for vinyl record companies to cater to audiophiles' demand for analog audio technology and offer unique, visually appealing record players. - **Brutalist Design Influence:** Opportunity for designers and manufacturers to incorporate Brutalist design elements into various products, combining the old with the new in a visually striking way. ### Where This Applies - **Audio Technology:** Opportunity for audio technology companies to create architecturally-inspired audio systems that incorporate both design and functionality. - **Vinyl Record:** Opportunity for vinyl record companies to capitalize on the resurgence of analog audio and offer visually appealing record players that enhance the aesthetic of the listening experience. - **Design and Manufacturing:** Opportunity for designers and manufacturers to embrace the Brutalist design influence and incorporate it into various products, creating visually striking pieces that stand out in the market. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stylish Low-Tech Sound Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frame-sound.md) - [Futuristic Old-Fashioned Phonographs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/re-retro-player.md) - [Modular AI-Enabled Record Players](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-record-player.md) - [Metallic Architectural Record Players](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rytm.md) - [Retro-Modern Turntable Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vertical-turntable-concept.md) - [Sculptural Modern Turntable Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amuni-studio.md) - [Architecturally Influenced Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-brutalist-speaker.md) - [Eye-Catching Freestanding Home Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oli-home-speaker.md) - [Artistic Wall-Mounted Audio Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beogram-remaster.md)
