The device works by being positioned into a houseplant's container where it will go to work capturing data related to moisture, air humidity, temperature and the pH of the soil. This data is then transferred to the accompanying smartphone app to automatically send the administrator a notification that care is required. The OKO sensor is equipped with Bluetooth and WiFi, and will deliver up to three-months of use per charge.
