# Playful Foosball Hangers The Offside Coatrack Makes a Game of Tidying Your Entryway By Amelia Roblin | Published 2014-05-07 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/offside-coatrack References: [runaklock](http://www.runaklock.com/albums/19/) With the Offside Coatrack mounted on your wall, you may be less likely to simply drop your outerwear and accessories on the floor when you come inside. Many people just aren't the tidy types; however, this contraption makes living neatly a little bit more fun. It is no surprise that Runa Klock was inspired to make this playful piece while entertaining herself over a game of foosball with friends. The rod and the armless players were appropriated into this design in an attempt to help kick bad habits of leaving items around carelessly. In recyclable plastic, the designer produced green, red, yellow and blue men that can be slid along the rounded rail. The Offside Coatrack can rotate too, with the block feet serving as wall stoppers when heavy items are slung over the players' heads. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 38% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Playful Coatracks:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the home organization industry by creating coatrack designs that incorporate playfulness and encourage tidiness. - **Recyclable Plastic Furniture:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the furniture industry by developing more environmentally-friendly and sustainable furniture options using recyclable plastics. - **Interactive Home Decor:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the home decor industry by creating interactive and functional decor pieces that can make everyday tasks more enjoyable. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Organization:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the home organization industry by creating coatrack designs that incorporate playfulness and encourage tidiness. - **Furniture:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the furniture industry by developing more environmentally-friendly and sustainable furniture options using recyclable plastics. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the home decor industry by creating interactive and functional decor pieces that can make everyday tasks more enjoyable. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pop Art-Inspired Foosball Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rs4-home-x-hey-foosball-table.md) - [Playful Foosball Toy Blocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-table-football-moc.md) - [Tripod-Like Garment Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-coat-rack.md) - [Limited-Edition Foosball Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/afternoon-light.md) - [Sporty Climbing-Inspired Hangers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grip-hanger.md) - [Building Block Foosball Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-table-football.md) - [Playful Monkey-Inspired Coat Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monkey-coat-stand.md) - [Smiley Clothing Wall Hooks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/itsahook.md) - [Chinese Character-Shaped Coat Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/resting-coat-rack.md)
