# Crumpled Paper Chairs These Crumpled Office Chairs By o4i for Bla Station Boast an Unusual Finish By Tia Clarke | Published 2013-02-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/office-chairs1 References: [designboom](http://www.designboom.com/design/dent-by-o4i-for-bla-station/) & [o4i](http://www.o4i.com/) These office chairs, entitled the 'dent chair' have an incredible and eye-deceiving crumpled paper finish. Designed by Swedish studio o4i for 'bla station,' the unusual finish is achieved by using compression-molded ash wood glued in layers. The Swedish designers set out to create a hard, flat surface into a curved office seat that would comfortably support a person. The fun chairs look like someone has taken a piece of crumpled paper from the office bin and molded it into a functional chair. These chairs would be perfect for a modern, contemporary office space or even to add a hint of playfulness to a home office. The chairs are available in a stained or natural finish with a chrome or a lacquered steel leg to perfectly match the color of your chosen chair.
