The Offender Locator App tracks sex offenders in your area and provides a map of where they live. If you click on their pin drops on the map, a picture of the sex offender will show up, along with their address, date of birth and list of convictions. The Offender Locator App uses the iPhone’s built-in GPS to find the registered sex offenders. You can also track sex offenders who live close by to friends and families if their addresses are saved in your iPhone. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 12% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Sex Offender Locator Apps:** The trend of developing sex offender locator apps could be disruptive in improving public safety and reducing crime rates. - **Location-based Safety Apps:** The trend of developing location-based safety apps could be disruptive in promoting personal safety and protecting vulnerable populations. - **Privacy Protection Technologies:** The trend of developing privacy protection technologies could be disruptive in balancing the need for public safety with individuals' right to privacy. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Mobile App Development:** The mobile app development industry could benefit from the trend of developing location-based safety apps, which could create new opportunities for innovation and growth. - **Law Enforcement:** The law enforcement industry could benefit from the trend of developing sex offender locator apps, which could provide a more efficient and effective way to monitor sex offenders and prevent crime. - **Cybersecurity:** The cybersecurity industry could benefit from the trend of developing privacy protection technologies, which could create new opportunities for protecting personal data and preventing cybercrime. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Phone Locator Alerts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fingerfind.md) - [Family Safety Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/family-safety-app.md) - [Anti-Stalking App Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tile.md) - [Missing Child App Alerts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Findmykids-App.md) - [Mobile Anti-Stalking Features](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-airtags.md) - [Logistics-Tracking GPS Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/logistics-tracking-gps-app.md) - [Privacy-Protecting Mobile Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/do-not-track-kids.md) - [Proactive Police Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/police-apps.md) - [Tracker-Detecting Smartphone Updates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/google-find-my-device-network.md)
