# Wing-Widened Campers The Odorico Pordenone Caravan Expands to Offer Provide Spaciousness By Amelia Roblin | Published 2012-02-11 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/odorico-pordenone References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2012/02/10/expanding-home/) & [moshidesign.cz](http://www.moshidesign.cz/prace.html) [Compact living](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ochoco) isn't for everyone, even if it is just temporary. The designer of the Odorico Pordenone RV sympathizes with those who prefer the extra space to breathe, working a bit of a miracle to make the interior really roomy. Of course, the trailer could not surpass a maximum width to make it safe for towing down roads, but this dimensional requirement is reworked when the mobile home is parked. The occupant can easily turn a crank within that causes the two long sides of the wheeled dwelling to open up. This added space creates convenient separations between a bed and a table and causes the kitchen to come apart. The shape-shifting nature of Jakub Novak's Odorico Pordenone is matched by a [streamlined exterior finish](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lume-caravan) of burnished metal cladding. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.6/10 - Popularity: 97% | Activity: 93% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Expandable Campers:** The trend of expandable campers provides an opportunity for innovative designs that offer extra space for comfort and convenience. - **Transformable Living Spaces:** The trend of transformable living spaces opens up possibilities for creating flexible interiors that adapt to different needs and preferences. - **Streamlined Exterior Finishes:** The trend of streamlined exterior finishes presents opportunities for using sleek and modern materials to enhance the aesthetics of mobile homes and caravans. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Recreational Vehicles (rvs):** In the RV industry, there are potential disruptive innovation opportunities to explore novel expandable camper designs that maximize interior space without compromising road safety. - **Furniture and Interior Design:** The furniture and interior design industry can leverage the trend of transformable living spaces by creating modular furnishings and adaptable layouts for compact living environments. - **Metal Cladding Manufacturing:** The metal cladding manufacturing industry can capitalize on the trend of streamlined exterior finishes by offering innovative materials and finishes that enhance the sleek look of campers and mobile homes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Fully Expanding Camping Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/berg-offroad-cx3.md) - [Capacious Camping Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/capacious-camping-trailer.md) - [Origami-Like Camping Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forma-campers.md) - [Adaptive Outdoor Living Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/karoo-adventure.md) - [Expandable Off-Road Motorhomes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shiver-x-expandable.md) - [Expandable Camping Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/expandable-camping-trailer.md) - [Rotating Truck Campers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/truck-campers.md) - [Flexible Layout Camper Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/weinsberg-caralife.md) - [Family-Friendly Concept Campers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concept-campers.md)
