# Melted Bulb Lighting The Oda Lamp by Andreu Carulla Pays Homage to Incandescent Light Bulbs By Meghan Young | Published 2010-07-26 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oda-lamp References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2010/07/23/the-oda-lamp-by-andreu-carulla-for-el-torrent/) & [andreucarulla](http://www.andreucarulla.com/) There is something rustically appealing about the Oda Lamp. With a salvaged look about it, each light bulb also looks to have been melted in the process. Of course, this [industrial-esque design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loops-lamp) is also incredibly chic, perfect for that loft apartment or art studio. Designed by Andreu Carulla for the manufacturer El Torrent, the Oda Lamp actually pays homage to the [incandescent light bulb](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jal). Available in both single and [chandelier options](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-glow-light), I have to say the multiple version is stunning. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 46% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Rustic Lighting Design:** Designing lighting fixtures with a salvaged and melted bulb aesthetic creates a rustic appeal and industrial-chic style. - **Homage to Incandescent Light Bulbs:** Paying tribute to the traditional incandescent light bulb through innovative and artistic lamp designs. - **Multiple Pendant Lighting:** Creating stunning and visually striking chandelier options that enhance the aesthetic appeal of a space. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** Providing unique lighting solutions for interior design projects, blending rustic and industrial styles. - **Artistic Home Decor:** Creating decorative lighting fixtures that serve as functional art pieces for art studios and loft apartments. - **Lighting Manufacturing:** Producing innovative and stylish lamps that combine traditional incandescent light bulb elements with modern design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modernized Antique-Style Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/odina-table-lamp.md) - [Streetlamp-Inspired Workstation Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/herman-miller-ode-desk-lamp.md) - [Archetypal Conical Light Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragile-lamp.md) - [Molten Glass Lighting Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foscarini-1.md) - [Luxe Candle-Melting Lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infra-luna-20.md) - [Sculptural Glass Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuloa.md) - [Retro-Tinged Compact Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lari-mini.md) - [Vintage-Inspired Candle Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vintageinspired-candle-lamps.md) - [Incense-Mimicking Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/incense-lamp.md)
