"The Oaxaca Old Fashioned has taken on a life of its own over the years, and after tasting the other cocktails, I trusted [Tip Top] to get it right," said Ward. United with a touch of agave nectar for sweetness and a few dashes of bitters, this fresh take on the Old Fashioned is rich, smoky, smooth and well-balanced, with notes of oak. The limited-release, 37% ABV Oaxaca Old Fashioned in 100ml cans is exclusively available in the Tip Top Tequila & Mezcal Variety Pack, featuring the brand's take on a classic, [tequila-based Margarita](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casamigos-margaritas) and the colorful Naked & Famous, made with [mezcal and lime](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mezcal-reina). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 7.0/10 - Popularity: 68% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 71% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Drinking](https://www.trendhunter.com/drinking) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Premium RTD Tequila-mezcal Cocktails:** A growing consumer preference for premium ready-to-drink tequila and mezcal blends, enabling novel spirit-forward formulations and elevated branding strategies. - **Creator Collaborations and Authenticity:** High-profile collaborations with original cocktail creators are driving authenticity-led product narratives that could reshape co-branded limited releases and provenance storytelling. - **Limited-release Small-format Cans:** The popularity of 100ml limited-release canned cocktails highlights demand for collectible, small-format offerings that support premium pricing and scarcity-driven marketing models. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Ready-to-drink Alcohol:** RTD alcohol brands are positioned to disrupt traditional on-premise channels by translating bar-quality recipes into shelf-stable, consumer-friendly formats. - **Craft Spirits and Distilleries:** Independent distillers and mezcal producers stand to benefit from collaborative product development that foregrounds origin, aging, and smoky flavor profiles. - **Beverage Packaging and Canning:** Innovations in recyclable small-format can design and premium labeling offer opportunities to differentiate limited-edition cocktail releases and improve sustainability credentials. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Refreshed Derby Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-perfecta.md) - [Ready-to-Pour Spritz Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aperol-spritz-to-go.md) - [Strategic Hospitality Venue Rebrands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-maya.md) - [Cocktail-Oriented Peachy Gins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/four-pillars-three-peach-gin.md) - [RTD Mojito Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-new-mojito.md) - [Single-Forest Maple Syrups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sirop.md) - [Cafe Brand Spirit Partnerships](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/starbucks-reserve-bar-mixato.md) - [RTD Passion Fruit Margaritas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/passion-fruit-margaritas.md) - [Texture-Enhanced Cocktail Techniques](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/texture-enhanced-cocktail-techniques.md)
