Having "invented the GPU, revolutionized gaming, helped [Hollywood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/marilyn-monroe-barbie) make jaw-dropping movies, and powered the world’s fastest supercomputer," as boasted on its blog, Nvidia deserves some new digs. Said to rival [Apple's own spaceship](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steve-jobs-apple-campus) of a campus that should be completed by 2015, the Nvidia Santa Clara campus "will be the symbol, the physical manifestation, of our vision for the company," writes Jen-Hsun Huang. The undulating geometric roof does hold a lot of promise. Designed by renowned architecture firm [Gensler](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robert-a-iger-building), the Nvidia Santa Clara campus takes on the form of a triangle, which Huang notes is "the fundamental building block of computer graphics." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 12% | Activity: 27% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Geometric Building Design:** The undulating geometric roof design of the Nvidia Santa Clara campus presents an opportunity for disruptive innovation in the architecture and construction industries. - **Corporate Campus Rivalry:** The competition between companies to build impressive and innovative corporate campuses such as Nvidia's Santa Clara campus and Apple's 'spaceship' presents opportunities for disruptive innovation in corporate architecture and design. - **Innovative Branding Through Architecture:** The Nvidia Santa Clara campus design as a physical representation of its vision for the company presents an opportunity for disruptive innovation in how brands use architecture to reflect their identity and values. ### Who This Affects Most - **Architecture:** The undulating geometric roof design of the Nvidia Santa Clara campus presents an opportunity for disruptive innovation in the field of architecture. - **Construction:** The unique design of the Nvidia Santa Clara campus presents an opportunity for disruptive innovation in the construction industry. - **Technology:** The use of technology in the design and construction of corporate campuses such as Nvidia's Santa Clara campus presents an opportunity for disruptive innovation in the technology industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Campus-Based Cylindrical Glass Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mirage.md) - [Kaleidoscope Vibrant Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mountain-view.md) - [Code-Generated Pavilion Structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-orb.md) - [Clover-Style Conference Center Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zgc-international-innovation-center.md) - [Streamlined Creative Work Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allinone-app.md) - [Tech-Base Workspace Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foster-partners4.md) - [Futuristic Cultural Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-lucas-museum-of-narrative-arts.md) - [Automobile Engineered Work Campuses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tech-center.md) - [Green Terracotta-Donned Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robert-a-iger-building.md)
