# Pinched Porcelain Soakers The Nuvist Charme Bathtub Softly Embraces the Bather By Amelia Roblin | Published 2011-07-29 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nuvist-charme-bathtub References: [trendir](http://www.trendir.com/archives/005515.html) & [nuvist](http://www.nuvist.com/wp/2011/07/charme-bathtub-design-by-nuvist/) Between the warm water, the smell of soap and the gradual relaxation of your muscles, [a bath](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baina-1) should offer the experience of pure repose. Satisfying where most soakers fall short, however, the Nuvist Charme Bathtub provides a significantly more comfortable surface for the bather to embrace total tranquility. Such is achieved through the fluid form of the [glossy basin](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handchiseled-marble-basin), not embodying a simple scoop, but incorporating buckled sides that serve to envelope a tired body and provide optimally placed armrests. Along these soft ledges, controls can be found that allow one to manage the pressure of the [jacuzzi jets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oasis-collection-1) within the tub. The Nuvist Charme Bathtub hence creates both a soft and serene experience in the tangible and the visual sense. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 52% | Activity: 44% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Fluid-form Bathtubs:** The trend towards fluid-form bathtubs presents an opportunity for designers to create more comfortable and visually appealing bathing experiences. - **Optimally Placed Armrests:** Designing bathtubs with optimally placed armrests allows for enhanced comfort and relaxation, offering a disruptive innovation opportunity in the bathing industry. - **Integrated Jacuzzi Controls:** The integration of jacuzzi controls within bathtubs offers a convenient and customizable bathing experience, indicating a potential disruption in the bathroom fixtures market. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Bathroom Fixtures:** The bathroom fixtures industry can explore disruptive innovations by incorporating fluid-form designs, optimally placed armrests, and integrated jacuzzi controls into their products. - **Interior Design:** The trend towards fluid-form bathtubs and the incorporation of optimized features provides an opportunity for interior designers to create visually stunning and comfortable bathroom spaces. - **Luxury Home Goods:** In the luxury home goods industry, offering fluid-form bathtubs with optimally placed armrests and integrated jacuzzi controls can provide a unique and immersive bathing experience, leading to potential disruptive innovations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sophisticated High-Design Bath Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soaking-tub.md) - [Symmetrical Curved Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/victoria-alberts-barcelona-collection.md) - [Luxe Translucent Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lusso-amore-freestanding-resin-bath.md) - [Customizable Minimalist Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acquabella-noon-slate.md) - [Japanese Snack Box-Inspired Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bento-starck-box.md) - [Automated Relaxation Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-bathtub.md) - [Cedar Wood Soaking Tubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ofuro-bathtub.md) - [AI-Enhanced Contemporary Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloud-and-co.md) - [Removable Bathtub Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathtrope.md)
