# Tableware-Inspired Lighting The Nulla Floor Lamp Collection by Artemide is Nearly Invisible By Meghan Young | Published 2014-04-08 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nulla-floor-lamp-collection References: [deconiche](http://www.deconiche.com/nulla-outdoor-lamp-artemide/) & [artemide](http://www.artemide.com/prodotti/scheda-architectural.action) The Nulla Floor Lamp Collection is a whimsical set of light fixtures that have been inspired by common tableware objects such as tea pots, jugs and more. Yet what makes them inappropriate for double duty uses is the fact that while they resemble these objects, the lamps are not made out of the same typical materials. Instead, the collection is formed out of [metal wireframes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polyshape). Designed by Dima Loginoff for [Artemide](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ixa-collection), the Nulla Floor Lamp Collection is near invisible due to the material used. Although made for outdoor use, the light fixtures can easily be used indoors to create a playful environment in the home. In spite of its fun forms, the Nulla Floor Lamp Collection is elegant, classic and romantic overall since they embody Belle Époque tableware in particular. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Tableware-inspired Lighting:** Creating home decor items inspired by common tableware is a unique trend that can be applied to other decor items. - **Whimsical Outdoor Lighting:** The use of wireframes to create whimsical outdoor lighting fixtures is a trend that can be applied to other outdoor decor and lighting products. - **Invisible Furniture and Decor:** Using materials that create a near-invisible effect is a trend that can be applied to other furniture and decor designs. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** The trend of creating whimsical tableware-inspired lighting can be applied to other home decor items. - **Outdoor Lighting:** The trend of using wireframes to create whimsical outdoor lighting fixtures can be applied to other outdoor lighting products. - **Furniture Design:** The trend of using invisible materials to create unique furniture designs can be applied to other furniture and decor products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Suspended Halo Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lamplox-minimalist-floor-lamp.md) - [Illuminating Stone-Made Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nau-design.md) - [Silkworm-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phantom-lighting.md) - [Tubular Shadow Play Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flos-emi-lighting-collection.md) - [Ancient Rome-Inspired Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/romana.md) - [Adjustable Playful Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flos.md) - [Street Light-Inspired Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/standing-lamp-marble.md) - [Luxurious Nomadic Lamp Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/voltra-lighting.md) - [Elegant Metal Perforated Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foreshadow-table-lamp.md)
