Nudge for Change is a new app described by its creators as "the backup for your moral compass." The app alerts you when you visit a business that doesn't agree with your morals. For example, if you care about the environment and step inside a restaurant with a poor environmental record Nudge for Change will tell you. The app provides a brief blurb along with a numbered score out of 10. The app will then suggest alternatives nearby that are more in line with your worldview.

Data is pulled from a variety of sources, including sites like Glassdoor (worker's rights and treatment), organizations like [GLAAD](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/catalyst-legend) (LGBT issues) and government agencies like the [EPA](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/protection-system) (the environment). All told Nudge for Change has data on 250 of the biggest and most-frequented retailers in the U.S., with data split into five categories: worker's rights, women's rights, the environment, racial equality and LGBT equality.
