# Toxic Goo Doorstops The Nuclear Door Holder May Deter Trespassers from Open Rooms By Amelia Roblin | Published 2012-07-13 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nuclear-door-holder References: [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/gallery/nuclear-door-holder/3001377) It's amusing the way that Ibrahim Guvendikler has taken the simple concept of a wedge and imagined it into something with far more character. The Nuclear Door Holder acts as both a [door stopper](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edge-door-handle) and a "keep out" sign, sticking to a more dramatic tactic than usual for a comical effect. The general chock shape was maintained in order for this nerdy knickknack to function but its form was manipulated into the body of a squeezed plastic tube. Rendered without a cap, the container was made to seemingly squirt out a snake-like line of neon green or blue paste. The suggestion here is that this is highly poisonous and radioactive material. A [black and yellow warning label](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/da-bomb-extreme) further clarifies the supposed contents of the Nuclear Door Holder as a playful way to say "stay away," even when the door is ajar. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Bizarre](https://www.trendhunter.com/bizarre) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Playful Door Stops:** Opportunity to create fun and unique door stops with character. - **Comically Dramatic Tactics:** Opportunity to incorporate humor into everyday household items. - **Fake Hazardous Materials:** Opportunity to create similar products that appear to be hazardous, but are harmless. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Incorporate humor and character into everyday household items. - **Novelty Products:** Create playfully dramatic products to entertain consumers. - **Safety Equipment:** Create fake hazard warning products for practical jokes or to warn of real hazards. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dumpster Pencil Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dumpstuder-pencil-holders.md) - [Off-Kilter Desktop Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concept-pen-holder.md) - [Hands-Free Door Handle Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/safe-lever-door-opener.md) - [Entryway Deodorizing Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/comodo.md) - [3D-Printed Door Gear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ross-lovegroves-door-handles.md) - [Eco-Friendly Kitchen Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cool-guy-fridge-deodorizer.md) - [Cheeky Bathroom Plungers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stylish-plunger.md) - [Tooth-Shaped Active Doorbell Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skitter.md) - [Inviting Pebble-Shaped Doorbells](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-doorbell-concept.md)
