There are two pieces in total -- a cabinet and a bench. Both pieces blend metal base foundations with cork decorated with colorful fleck pieces to lighten up the entire pieces. The Notebook Cabinet and the Notebook Bench will play a role at the Swedish Design Pavillion at the [London Design Fair](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-phlox-collection) later this year in September. The Notebook Cabinet is designed for storage whilst still placing a spotlight on photos, clippings, and inspirations on the exterior, much like a notebook. The dual doors are adorned in cork with the aforementioned [colorful bits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/center-center-storage) to evoke a playful design. The Notebook Bench sits on a similar metal foundation with a rounded speckled cork as the seat. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 45% | Activity: 17% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Notebook-inspired Furniture:** Designing furniture pieces inspired by notebooks opens up opportunities for creating playful and customizable storage solutions. - **Metal and Cork Fusion:** Combining metal foundations with cork embellished with colorful specks creates a unique and visually appealing aesthetic. - **Interactive and Personalized Design:** Incorporating cork exteriors that can be personalized with photos and clippings allows for a more interactive and customizable furniture experience. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** Exploring notebook-inspired furniture creates opportunities for innovation and creativity in the furniture design industry. - **Interior Design:** Integrating metal and cork fusion in furniture pieces presents disruptive innovation opportunities in interior design. - **Home Decor:** Interactive and personalized furniture designs can revolutionize the home decor industry by offering customizable and unique storage solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Volcanic Rock-Inspired Cabinet Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuff-pencil-cabinet.md) - [Manipulated Wood Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snickeriet.md) - [Ergonomic Multi-Use Desk Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kabinett-desk.md) - [Modular Configured Office Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabinet.md) - [Dynamic Swedish-Made Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/summer-collection.md) - [Textured Pine Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crayon-pine.md) - [Minimalist Modular Creative Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/note-desk.md) - [Eco-Friendly Sleek Office Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jenny-nordberg-1.md) - [Unique Burl-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/don-heston-studio.md)
