# Musical Seasoning The Note Salt & Pepper Shakers Rely on the Little Details By Meghan Young | Published 2011-01-05 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/note-salt-pepper-shakers References: [bookofjoe](http://www.bookofjoe.com/2010/12/musical-salt-pepper-shakers.html) & [microworks.jp](http://www.microworks.jp/work/work20/work20.html#) I've seen some [strangely shaped](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grains-of-time) [seasoning containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gourmet-seasoning-salt) before, but never have I come across one that features a radical hole design until I stumbled upon the Note Salt & Pepper Shakers. This musical shaker is pretty cool considering that it looks normal until flipped over. Brought to you be MicroWorks Web, the Note Salt & Pepper Shakers is priced at 2,310 yen (about $30). I wonder if using these shakers will inspire cooks to break out in song and dance while using it? ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.8/10 - Popularity: 9% | Activity: 8% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Radical Hole Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore new and unique hole designs for containers or products in various industries. - **Musical Shaker:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop innovative and interactive musical kitchen tools or utensils for cooking enthusiasts. - **Inspired Culinary Experience:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create products or services that enhance the joy and creativity of cooking through unique design elements. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Kitchenware:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce unconventional and visually appealing kitchenware products to capture consumers' attention and enhance their cooking experience. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Merge artistic design with functional home decor items, like salt and pepper shakers, to create conversation starters and unique aesthetic experiences in people's homes. - **Music Merchandise:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design and produce music-themed merchandise beyond traditional apparel and accessories, such as musical kitchen tools, to cater to music fans and enthusiasts. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dual Spice Shaker Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stui.md) - [Functional Table Seasonings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/table-seasonings.md) - [Tabletop Seed Shakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/munchy-seeds-need-seeds.md) - [Premium Peppercorn Seasonings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/premium-peppercorn.md) - [Guitar-Shaped Cutting Scissors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nikken-cutlery.md) - [Saltiness-Enhancing Electric Chopsticks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electric-chopsticks.md) - [Salt-Mimicking Kitchenwares](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electric-bowl-and-spoon.md) - [Pizza Seasoning Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collectible-seasoning-duet-box-set.md) - [Extra-Spicy Hot Pepper Grinders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/extreme-hot-pepper-grinder-set.md)
