# Colorful Sky Projectors The Northern Lights Projector Creates a Dazzling Aurora Light Show Indoors By Laura McQuarrie | Published 2014-07-16 | Life-Stages Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/northern-lights-projector References: [glow](http://www.glow.co.uk/aurora-lights-projector.html) Depending on where you live, it may take a just few hours or even a few days to get to a spot where you can see the Aurora Borealis—but the Northern Lights projector is a device that you can operate at home and it doesn't require any travel. The Aurora Lights Projector is a device that puts on an impressive light show with just the flip of a switch. The projector has multi-colored LED lights and eight different lighting modes and two patterns, so that the light show is as true to nature as you can expect from a projection on indoor wall and ceiling surfaces. To work the projector, it requires three AA batteries and it comes with a socket for an optional power adapter. The entire unit is priced at about $50, which makes for an easy way to see the stars in the city. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.8/10 - Popularity: 71% | Activity: 64% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Youth](https://www.trendhunter.com/youth) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Home Projectors:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop advanced home projectors that create realistic and immersive visual experiences. - **LED Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore new applications for LED lighting technology in creating captivating visual displays. - **Indoor Entertainment:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create innovative indoor entertainment devices that bring natural wonders and experiences into people's homes. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Electronics:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine technology and design to develop cutting-edge home electronic products. - **Lighting Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Push the boundaries of lighting technology to create dynamic and visually stunning lighting solutions. - **Entertainment Industry:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate technology and storytelling to revolutionize the way people engage with entertainment experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Northern Lights Skyr Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/northern-lights-skyr-kit.md) - [Ambient Mushroom-Shaped Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/angelcare-magical-dreams-celeste.md) - [Unique Interactive Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-aurora.md) - [Laser Home Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/epiqvision-mini.md) - [Portable Transformative Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boom-air.md) - [Overhead Light Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xgimi-magic-lamp.md) - [Mood-Enhancing Smart Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/etoe-starfish.md) - [Dazzling Gradient Lighting Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-bulb.md) - [Screen-Free 3-in-1 Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luna-storytime-projector.md)
