COR presented this during [Salone del Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/living-collection) 2023 alongside the Jalis Club chair and the Shrimp chair at Fuirisalone. The Nook features clean lines and the interior is soft, creating an overall [sculptural look to the seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-clam-chair). Additionally, the piping comes in a contrasting color or the option for a tone-on-tone look. Following this is a revamped version of the Shrimp 23 chair, which is also designed by Jehs + Laub. The designer duo state, “When we review older designs we always ask ourselves if we’d do it the same way today. We wouldn’t change anything about the Shrimp seat shell, because the fact that it’s made from a single piece of wood makes it iconic and special. However, we don’t think the seat core reflects contemporary tastes.” Image Credit: COR ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 31% | Freshness: 15% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Dynamic Seating Designs:** Opportunity to integrate soft and durable materials to enhance the user's comfort and overall experience. - **Sculptural-look Seating:** Potential to explore unconventional shapes and materials to create unique and visually appealing seating designs. - **Revolutionizing Classic Designs:** Potential to update traditional designs to meet contemporary tastes while retaining their iconic elements. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** Opportunity for designers and manufacturers to experiment with innovative materials, shapes, and manufacturing techniques to create unique and functional furniture pieces. - **Interior Design:** Potential to incorporate dynamic and sculptural seating designs into interior spaces to create visually stunning and comfortable environments. - **Architecture:** Opportunity to integrate stylish and functional seating designs into building design to enhance the overall experience and aesthetic appeal. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Architect-Inspired Sculptural Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jean-nouvel-11.md) - [Modern Furniture Series Expansions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seashell-nuo.md) - [Refined Premium Seating Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/noha-collection.md) - [Dynamic Structural Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldont-chair.md) - [Lifestyle Insight-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/noho.md) - [Ribbed-Cushioned Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/note-design.md) - [Contemporary Nordic Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nordic-chair-design.md) - [Ultra-Comfy Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cushy-lounge-chair.md) - [Sculptural Minimalism Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/noom-hello-sofa.md)
