Just in time for Sober October, [Nirvana Brewery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chocolate-porter-1) added to its collection of alcohol-free offerings with the all-new [Bavarian Helles Lager](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bavarian-meats), a non-alcoholic lager with a golden color. The [flavor-forward beer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/madr-excepcional-zero) boasts just 0.3% ABV and is said to have notes of biscuits, Hallertauer hops and a nectar finish. The brewery chose to explore this specific style of beer because of its ingredient simplicity and complex flavors.

A new wave of alcohol-free products are emerging to address the fact that many people don't find the taste of non-alcoholic beverages pleasing. As Nirvana’s co-founder Becky Kean describes: “I enjoy a good lager myself, but the mainstream alcohol-free lagers really didn’t tickle my taste buds. They’re often an afterthought to breweries’ portfolios, or simply a de-alcoholized version of their existing alcoholic offering."
