# Digital Paint Brushes The Nomadbrush Combines Modern Art with Modern Tech at CES 2014 By Michael Baxter | Published 2014-01-10 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nomadbrush-flex References: [coxsoft.blogspot](http://coxsoft.blogspot.ca/2014/01/nomadbrush-flex.html) & [nomadbrush](http://www.nomadbrush.com/products/nomad-flex-single) The NomadBrush Flex bridges the gap between the old school and the new school. The NomadBrush allows people to accurately paint on digital canvases. For those of us who caught onto the Draw Something app wave, we know that drawing on a phone, tablet or any sort of digital screen is hard. If only we could have some sort of paint brush-like apparatus that would help us more accurately depict that cat we saw outside. Good news: NomadBrush has made a completely intuitive paintbrush that works on [iPad](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/astropad-slate) and other [tablet screens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wacom-cintiq). Each of the bristles work on their own, so you can get the most accurate strokes for your [digital paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawing-tablet1). The NomadBrush Flex proves that as long as you have the right peripherals, a tablet or smartphone really can do whatever you want it to do. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 58% | Activity: 59% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Digital Painting Tools:** Integrating physical painting tools with digital canvases to create a more accurate and intuitive digital painting experience. - **Tablet Peripherals:** Creating innovative peripherals for tablet and smartphone devices to enhance user experience and allow users greater control over their devices. - **Traditional Art and Technology:** Integrating traditional art practices with cutting-edge technology to create new forms of art and expression. ### Where This Applies - **Art Supplies:** Developing state-of-the-art digital painting tools to create a more accurate and intuitive digital painting experience. - **Consumer Electronics:** Creating innovative peripherals for tablet and smartphone devices to enhance user experience and allow users greater control over their devices. - **Arts and Entertainment:** Integrating traditional art practices with cutting-edge technology to create new forms of art and expression that push boundaries in the arts and entertainment industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Portable Digital Drawing Pads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-digital-drawing.md) - [Professional Drawing Tablet Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/astropad-slate.md) - [Real-Time Digitizing Note-Taking Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/digitizing-notetaking.md) - [Magnetic Low-Cost Tablet Styluses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adonit-neo-pro.md) - [Portable Drawing Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-projector-for-kids.md) - [Paper-Like Drawing Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobile-drawing-tablet.md) - [Colorful Tech Stylus Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-crayon-pro.md) - [Portable Drawing Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/movinkpad-11.md) - [Multifunctional Touchpad Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/touchpad-drawing-tablet.md)
