# Weaved Fabric Storage Seats The No Stereotype Chair Uses Black Bands to Hold Your Valuables By Nikki Taylor | Published 2012-11-26 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/no-stereotype-chair References: [themag.it](http://www.themag.it/inspiration/2012/no-stereotype-chair.html) & [handongyeop](http://handongyeop.com) South Korean designer Dong-yeop Han's No Stereotype Chair is an efficiently designed chair that you can sit on and use the exterior pattern as an [exposed storage cabinet](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/next-mobile-unit). Storage compartments on furniture is nothing new. However, Han's design doesn't tuck your valuables away in a removable drawer. Your TV remote, books, phone, even your coat rack can be slid through the black fabric bands and secured until you need them. Therefore, the chair becomes so much more than just a hollow seat. It is a minimalist clean design, using [wood planks to outline the silhouette](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sitter-chair) of the seat. The [weaved black bands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woven-chair-designs) are all over No Stereotype Chair so you are able to store any item you please, anywhere you see fit. With this chair in your possession you will never lose the remote control again. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 71% | Activity: 11% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Efficiently Designed Furniture:** The No Stereotype Chair showcases efficient design by incorporating storage compartments within the furniture piece itself. - **Minimalist Storage Solutions:** The use of weaved black bands on the No Stereotype Chair provides a minimalist storage solution for various items. - **Functional Furniture:** The No Stereotype Chair serves multiple purposes by combining seating functionality with storage capabilities. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** The furniture design industry can explore opportunities to incorporate storage compartments within their products, offering customers more functionality in their furniture pieces. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can benefit from minimalist storage solutions, providing customers with stylish and practical options for organizing their belongings. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can consider using functional furniture pieces like the No Stereotype Chair to optimize space and enhance the user experience in various living spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Antitheft Storage Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/afford-chair.md) - [Storage-Equipped Restaurant Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rack-chair.md) - [Chic Single-Piece Plywood Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/void-lounge-chair.md) - [Cozy Storage-Focused Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-pocket-chair.md) - [Storage-Friendly Origami Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-kerf.md) - [Posh Pet-Friendly Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arch-chair-design.md) - [Ultra-Minimalist Folding Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/notch-folding-chair.md) - [Ultra-Simple Multifunctional Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chairpf.md) - [Dual-Sided Storage Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bond-stool-system.md)
