The Dutch designer first tested this amazing [designer barbeque](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-huntsman-kettle-kamado) at the Eat Drink and Design pop-up café in Eindhoven, The Netherlands to rave reviews. This fantastic bbq is made out of either corroded metal or with a wood finish. Aside from having an awesome name, the No Screw No Glue Bbq also looks like a giant [medieval goblet](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nick-beens) or something more at home in a church. It’s perfect if you want to recreate a medieval roasted meat-themed feast and isn’t that what [backyard cookouts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-charcoal-grill) are all about anyways? ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 40% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Medieval-themed Grills:** Opportunity for the creation of medieval-themed grills that combine historical aesthetics with modern functionality. - **No Screw No Glue Design:** Opportunity to develop products that use innovative construction methods, eliminating the need for screws and glue. - **Corroded Metal and Wood Finish:** Opportunity to explore alternative materials and finishes, such as corroded metal and wood, to create unique and visually appealing BBQ designs. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Outdoor Cooking Equipment:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for outdoor cooking equipment manufacturers to create medieval-inspired grills that cater to customers seeking unique and visually striking designs. - **Home and Garden Decor:** Opportunity for home and garden decor companies to incorporate medieval-inspired BBQs into their product offerings, appealing to customers looking for distinctive and themed outdoor entertaining options. - **Design and Architecture:** Opportunity for designers and architects to reimagine traditional BBQs by using unconventional materials and finishes, opening up new possibilities in outdoor space design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Old-Fashioned Toolbox Grills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro-blaze-charcoal-grill.md) - [Public Sculptural Pergola Barbecues](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/communal-barbecue.md) - [Suitcase-Style Outdoor Grills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/b2q-kit.md) - [Compact Fan-Equipped BBQs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barbecue-nx-smart-grill.md) - [Sustainable Recycled Paper Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/no-screws-no-glue.md) - [Cooking-Friendly Outdoor Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/regg-surprise.md) - [Mini Modular Outdoor Grills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-griller.md) - [Smartphone-Connected Outdoor Grills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wood-pellet-barbecue-grill.md) - [Portable Suitcase-Style Barbecues](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yuanye-folding-barbecue.md)
