# Minimalistic Cubist Confines The NN House by Avehideshi Architects is a White Square By Armida Ascano | Published 2010-09-17 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nn-house References: [vectroave](http://vectroave.com/2010/09/nn-house/) & [avehideshi](http://www.avehideshi.com/) Designed by [Japanese firm](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nozawa) Avehideshi Architects, The NN House is a minimalistic home with a huge white cube exterior. As strange as it may look, the NN House is home to a family in Osaka. Boasting an impossibly smooth exterior, this home is as normal on the inside as it is strange on the outside. The NN House has two floors, a set of stairs, and an average number of rooms. Perhaps the most peculiar part of the house (aside from the exterior, of course) is the [interior display garage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kumagaya-house). Due to the cube shape of the NN House, a vehicle parked in the garage is visible to everyone in the house. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 86% | Activity: 58% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Minimalistic Architecture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Designing homes with simple, clean lines and minimalistic aesthetics. - **Cubist Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporating geometric shapes and angles to create unique and visually striking structures. - **Interior Display:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrating visible interior displays, such as vehicle showcases, to enhance the living experience. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Exploring new architectural approaches that challenge traditional concepts of space and design. - **Real Estate:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing and marketing homes with distinct, eye-catching exteriors that appeal to modern homeowners. - **Automotive:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborating with architects and interior designers to create innovative garage designs that blend seamlessly with the overall aesthetic of the living space. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimal Japanese Home Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-kyobate.md) - [Concrete Block-Formed Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blockwall-house.md) - [Cave-Like Exposed Concrete Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nakano-house.md) - [Raw Concrete Industrial Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-nishizaki.md) - [Square Structural Canadian Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/canvas-house.md) - [Angled Concrete Forest Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/block-wall-house.md) - [Pyramidal Concrete Japanese Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pyramid-hut.md) - [Concrete Boxes-Overlapping Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-tsurumiku.md) - [Lofty Minimalist Living Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-living-space1.md)
