# Spherical Pod-Like Vehicles The Conceptual Nissan Dodgy Has an Otherworldly Design By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2020-09-30 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nissan-dodgy References: [yankodesign](https://www.yankodesign.com/2020/09/29/the-nissan-dodgy-looks-like-a-pod-vehicle-designed-for-terraformed-mars/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+yankodesign+%28Yanko+Design+-+Form+Beyond+Function%29) The conceptual [Nissan](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nissan-concept-2023) Dodgy has been designed by Burov [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/greenway-parks) as a futuristic transportation solution that would offer ample space for a [single passenger](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yksi-electric-vehicle) to help them get around a city or perhaps even another planet. The vehicle has a spherical design that is even paired with a set of spherical wheels in order to help it move in any direction and rotate on a dime. This will enable passengers to enjoy a comfortable riding experience without having to deal with uncomfortable maneuvers on the road. The conceptual Nissan Dodgy doesn't clearly have space for the batteries and necessary components outlined, but could be located in the belly of the vehicle to help maximize space inside and maintain a tighter form factor. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 86% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Spherical Transportation:** Creating spherical vehicle designs with spherical wheels for improved maneuverability and futurism. - **Single-passenger Vehicles:** Designing vehicles that prioritize space and comfort for a single passenger, potentially for ride-sharing or personalized transportation. - **Alternative Planetary Transportation:** Developing concepts for transportation on other planets that prioritize maneuverability, space, and comfort in a low-gravity environment. ### Who This Affects Most - **Automotive:** Innovating vehicle designs and technologies to provide more comfortable, personalized, and efficient transportation options. - **Aerospace:** Exploring transportation solutions for interplanetary travel that prioritize maneuverability, durability, and safety in extreme environments. - **Urban Planning and Development:** Integrating new modes of transportation into urban infrastructure and rethinking city spaces to accommodate more personalized transportation options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Lifestyle-Conscious Transportation Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kia-pod-concept.md) - [Transparent Sphere Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sphere-vehicle.md) - [Fully Autonomous Crossover SUVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dkm-20.md) - [Racer-Inspired City Car Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nissan-concept-2023.md) - [Escapism Electric Vehicle Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trekker-concept-vehicle.md) - [Persona-Specific EVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nissan-futures.md) - [Boomerang-Shaped Urban Mobility Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pixl7-vehicle.md) - [Road-Ready Dune Buggy Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fordzilla-hypervan.md) - [Weather-Inspired Autonomous Car Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/citron-la-mto.md)
