The original Datsun 240Z was launched back in October 1969 and in honor of that vintage classic, Nissan has created a lust-worthy, modern version. Featuring the latest and greatest technology, the Nissan 370Z 40th Anniversary edition pulls out (almost) all the stops. With a 332 hp [V6](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gran-turismo-7) engine, 19-inch, smoke Rays wheels, a special 40th Quartz paint job, and a 40th anniversary badge and commemorative plaque, what more could you ask for? Well, it’s not enhanced for turbo, but it’s still mighty sexy. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 29% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Classic Car Revival:** The release of special edition classic cars like the Nissan 370Z 40th Anniversary edition demonstrates a growing trend of celebrating and reviving vintage automotive designs with modern technology. - **Commemorative Editions:** Automotive companies are capitalizing on anniversaries to release limited edition commemorative vehicles, providing an opportunity to create exclusive and highly sought-after products for collectors and enthusiasts. - **Performance and Design:** The Nissan 370Z 40th Anniversary edition showcases the trend of combining high-performance engines with visually striking design elements to create an exhilarating driving experience. ### Where This Applies - **Automotive:** The automotive industry has an opportunity to tap into nostalgia and cater to the demand for classic cars by releasing special edition models that blend vintage aesthetics with modern features. - **Collectibles:** The production of limited edition commemorative vehicles presents an opportunity for the collectibles industry to cater to the desires of car enthusiasts and collectors seeking unique and valuable items. - **Design and Engineering:** The design and engineering industry can explore opportunities to collaborate with automotive manufacturers in creating visually striking commemorative designs that combine modern technology with timeless aesthetics. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Track-Ready Race Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2024-nissan-z-nismo.md) - [Anniversary-Celebrating Sports Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/porsche-australia.md) - [Anniversary SUV Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2023-toyota-4runner.md) - [Anniversary-Celebrating Motorsports Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/m4-csl.md) - [Anniversary-Honoring SUV Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2026-ford-bronco-60th-anniversary-package.md) - [Racing Partnership Watches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seiko-prospex-speedtimer-x-datsun-240z-collection.md) - [Automaker Video Game Collaborations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nissan-x-rocket-league.md) - [Celebratory Miniature Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-20-years-edition.md) - [Anniversary-Honoring Manual Supercars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aston-martin-valour.md)
