The controller is inspired by the namesake Nintendo GameCube controllers from the retro console and incorporate an [ergonomic form](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crkd-nitro-deck-2) that would fit neatly into the hands. The controllers could, like the Nintendo [Joy-Con](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conceptual-nintendo-switch-2) controllers, be attached onto either side of the console or be linked together with an adapter for a freestyle gameplay experience from the couch. The Nintendo Switch GameCube controller is imagined in several color options that help it match the mobile console's aesthetic, but also others that pay homage to the original console from yesteryear. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.1/10 - Popularity: 82% | Activity: 83% | Freshness: 17% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Nostalgic Gaming Controllers:** Designing gaming controllers that evoke nostalgia for retro consoles is a growing trend in the gaming industry. - **Ergonomic Mobile Gaming Accessories:** Creating ergonomic accessories for mobile gaming consoles is an emerging trend, catering to the comfort and convenience of players. - **Customizable Gaming Controller Designs:** Developing gaming controllers with multiple color options and customization features is gaining popularity among gamers. ### Who This Affects Most - **Gaming Hardware:** The gaming hardware industry can capitalize on the demand for nostalgic gaming controllers by designing and producing peripherals that evoke a sense of nostalgia. - **Mobile Gaming:** The mobile gaming industry can benefit from the development of ergonomic accessories that enhance the gaming experience on mobile consoles. - **Gaming Accessories:** The gaming accessories industry has an opportunity to cater to gamers who want customizable controller designs by offering a wide range of options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Millennium Era-Inspired Gaming Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abxylute-n9c.md) - [Modernized Retro Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-gamecube-controller.md) - [Retro-Style Game Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nyxi.md) - [Meta Mobile Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nintendo-switch-small-invader.md) - [Ergonomic Mobile Console Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conceptual-nintendo-switch-2.md) - [Retro Console-Inspired Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/killscreen-cubesense.md) - [Retro Platforming Game Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crkd-gex-trilogy-neo-s-controller.md) - [Foldable Gaming Console Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nintendo-switch-controllers.md) - [Light Pastel-Colored Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nintendo-1.md)
