# Foldable Gaming Console Controllers The 'Go-Cons' Nintendo Switch Controllers are Keychain-Like By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2022-07-26 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nintendo-switch-controllers References: [yankodesign](https://www.yankodesign.com/2022/07/25/foldable-nintendo-switch-go-cons-let-you-carry-your-love-for-gaming-no-matter-where-you-go/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=foldable-nintendo-switch-go-cons-let-you-carry-your-love-for-gaming-no-matter-where-you-go) & [instagram](https://www.instagram.com/bored_eye_design/) The conceptual 'Go-Cons' [Nintendo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conceptual-nintendo-switch-2) [Switch](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/game-boy-flip-concept) controllers have been designed by Liam de la Bedoyere (Bored Eye Design) as a product for players to pair with the portable console. The peripherals take an even more compact approach to the console's Joy-Con controllers and boast a [folding construction](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/onexsugar-wallet) that conceals the joystick in the underside of the button area. This allows the controllers to be swiveled shut when not in use and helps to offer a touch of protection for the components. The conceptual 'Go-Cons' Nintendo Switch controllers are imagined with a USB-C port for charging and are compact enough to be easily stowed almost anywhere. This will work well with the portable console as a way to further increase a player's ability to carry their gaming gear with them anywhere. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 87% | Activity: 86% | Freshness: 12% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Foldable Gaming Controllers:** The trend of foldable controllers provides an opportunity for gaming companies to create more compact and portable gaming accessories. - **Compact Gaming Accessories:** The trend of compact gaming accessories presents an opportunity for companies to create smaller, more convenient gaming accessories that are easier to transport and store. - **Portable Gaming Gear:** The trend of portable gaming gear highlights the growing need for gaming companies to create products that are travel-friendly and can be used on-the-go. ### Who This Affects Most - **Gaming:** The gaming industry can capitalize on the trend of foldable controllers and create new, innovative gaming accessories that cater to the needs of on-the-go gamers. - **Technology:** Technology companies can take advantage of the trend of compact gaming accessories to create smaller, more efficient tech products that enhance the user experience. - **Consumer Electronics:** The consumer electronics industry can benefit from the trend of portable gaming gear by developing new, travel-friendly products that allow consumers to take their electronics with them wherever they go. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Foldable Gaming Controller Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swift-game-controller.md) - [Collapsible Gamer Controller Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldable-controller-concept.md) - [Ergonomic Mobile Console Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conceptual-nintendo-switch-2.md) - [Foldable Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/game-boy-flip-concept.md) - [Snap-On Mobile Gaming Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobile-gaming-controller1.md) - [Meta Mobile Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nintendo-switch-small-invader.md) - [Modular Next-Gen Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nintendo-switoo.md) - [Minimalist Mobile Gaming Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-controller.md) - [Nostalgic Mobile Gaming Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nintendo-switch-gamecube-controller.md)
