Not only does Ninja Snap stop a prying or absent-minded friend from looking through potentially risque or private pictures, it also plays a [silly prank](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scratch-reveal) on the wandering party. Before handing a smartphone to their friend or colleague, the Ninja Snap selects the specific photos they want their recipient to be able to view. If the phone intruder scrolls past the intended pictures, the Ninja Snap app will kick in. Rather than giving them access to any more photos, the app will use the phone's [reverse camera to take pictures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/google-9) of the offending party, showing them only their own (increasingly confused) face. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.0/10 - Popularity: 6% | Activity: 16% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, South America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Privacy-protecting Apps:** Apps like Ninja Snap are innovating by providing solutions to the problem of unwanted access to personal photos. - **Prank Apps:** Apps like Ninja Snap combine privacy protection with a fun prank element, creating a unique user experience. - **Intrusion Detection Apps:** Apps like Ninja Snap use reverse camera technology to detect and deter unauthorized access to personal data. ### Where This Applies - **Mobile App Development:** The mobile app development industry has an opportunity to create more innovative apps like Ninja Snap that address privacy concerns. - **Cybersecurity:** The cybersecurity industry can explore technologies like reverse camera detection used in Ninja Snap to enhance intrusion detection and prevention. - **Digital Entertainment:** The digital entertainment industry can tap into the popularity of prank apps like Ninja Snap and develop more engaging and interactive user experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Smartphone-Powered Camera Processor Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ninja-phone.md) - [Discreet File Security Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/secret-photo-vault.md) - [Phone Decluttering Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swipe-delete.md) - [Home Screen Photo Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/locket.md) - [Private Social Photo Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro-app.md) - [Private Video Sharing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/video-sharing1.md) - [Photo Redaction Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camouflage-for-ios.md) - [Smartphone Gimbal Attachments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snappy-mobile.md) - [Interactive Prank Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scratch-reveal.md)
