# Elegant Hexagonal Coffee Tables Nimio's Tables Were Inspired by the Act of Viewing Flowers By Ell Smith | Published 2017-12-26 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nimios-tables References: [designboom](https://www.designboom.com/design/nimio-hanami-coffee-tables-12-24-2017/) & [nimio-lab.es](http://www.nimio-lab.es/en/nimio-furniture-looking-people) Coffee tables often prioritize function over form, which is what makes Nimio's tables so unique, as the brand incorporates elements of technology and design to produce tables that can enhance the interior of any room. The series is entitled Hanami, which translates to the act of viewing flowers -- a common occurrence during spring in Japan. This act perfectly encompasses the collection, as the designers aimed to help the consumer slow down, and appreciate every detail of a home. The gorgeous tabes are both simple and practical, with a subtle elegance that makes them an ideal addition to a home. Like the flowers it was inspired by, these tables come in varying heights and colors, but all feature the same hexagonal shape, and white and blue colorway.
