This particular solid state drive measures in at only 3.5 inches, but is capable of storing a monstrous 100 terabytes of data. This drive comfortably smashes the previous record that was held by [Samsung](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-t5-evo) and its 30-terabyte offering. The ExaDrive DC100 solid state drive unabashedly prioritizes capacity over read speeds. This makes it perfect for use by enterprise customers who are keen to cut down on the amount of energy and physical space they use to store data, and don't mind compromising on speeds. Currently being tested with data centers and other enterprise customers, the ExaDrive DC100 is a high-density data storage innovation whose biggest advantage is its ability to save energy costs, a welcome innovation for companies who store large amounts of data. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 18% | Activity: 39% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **High-capacity Solid-state Drives:** The development of solid-state drives with larger storage capacities presents opportunities for businesses to efficiently store and manage massive amounts of data. - **Energy-efficient Data Storage:** The focus on reducing energy consumption in data storage solutions opens up opportunities for companies to save on energy costs and promote sustainability. - **Enterprise Storage Solutions:** The demand for high-density data storage innovations creates opportunities for companies to develop products that meet the specific needs of enterprise customers. ### Where This Applies - **Data Storage:** The advancement in high-capacity, energy-efficient drives offers disruptive innovation opportunities in the data storage industry, allowing companies to address the growing demand for reliable and sustainable storage solutions. - **Technology:** The development of hyper-capacitative hard drives opens up new possibilities for technological advancements in various industries, such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and Internet of Things. - **Renewable Energy:** The emphasis on energy efficiency in data storage drives presents opportunities for the renewable energy industry to collaborate with storage companies and promote sustainable solutions in the data center sector. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra High-Capacity SSDs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kingston-dc3000me.md) - [Ergonomic High-Capacity Storage Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-t5-evo.md) - [Enterprise-Ready Hard Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seagate-exos-x24-hard-drives.md) - [High-Capacity Industrial Hard Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wd-red-pro-g-drive.md) - [Scalable Enterprise SSDs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enterprise-ssds.md) - [Large-Capacity Desktop Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sandisk-desk-drive.md) - [High-Capacity SSDs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firecuda-540.md) - [Capacious Computer Memory Tapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/memory-tape.md) - [High-Performance Data Storage Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-smartssd.md)
