# Wax-Welcoming Candlesticks The Nimble Candleholder Collects Cascading Paraffin for an Easy Cleanup By Amelia Roblin | Published 2012-02-01 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nimble-candleholder References: [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/gallery/Nimble/1991153) For those modern people who still make use of archaic illumination, the Nimble Candleholder presents a way for the practice to shed the mess and offer increased convenience of use. However beautiful, [candle sticks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alma-mater) are often ineffectual against blocking the flow of [dripping wax](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adlan-fragrances) -- a knack that has been built into the design of this clever object. Dominic D'Andrea actually looked to antique models of [portable candle holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/candl-stacks) from which to develop his own. A smooth neck slopes gently into an upturned dish, inviting the accumulation of liquid paraffin into hardening channels and a solidifying pool. For a Post-Industrial appearance, the piece has been molded from red plastic into a smooth squared shape, complete with a loopless tag for a handle. The flexible Nimble Candleholder need be twisted only slightly to crack the toughened wax for an effortless disposal. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.4/10 - Popularity: 15% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Effortless Wax Disposal:** The Nimble Candleholder trend offers innovative ways to make wax disposal much easier, modern and elegant. - **Post-industrial Candle Holders:** The Post-Industrial Candle Holder trend offers a sleek, smooth and square design for modern customers who love traditional lighting solutions. - **Channeling Candle Wax:** The Channeling Candle Wax trend offers innovative designs to capture dripping wax and channel it into an accessible location for easy cleaning. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can incorporate Nimble Candleholders and other similar innovative designs into their product lines to offer more modern and convenient options for traditional lighting solutions. - **Candle Manufacturing:** Candle manufacturers can partner with designers to develop a new line of Post-Industrial Candle Holders, offering consumers sleek modern designs in addition to traditional candles. - **Kitchen and Restaurant Supplies:** Kitchen and restaurant supplies companies can benefit from incorporating channeling candle wax designs into their product lines, offering premium candleholders that provide a clean and pleasant ambiance for customers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stone Cube Candle Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qub-candlestick.md) - [Vertical Tea-Light Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tolo-tea-candle.md) - [Zero-Waste Refillable Candles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/filz.md) - [Plant-Based Wax Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-solids-1.md) - [Interestingly Shaped Candle Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poise-candle-holder.md) - [Modular Wax Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-soft-solids.md) - [Architectural Candle Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/core-candle-holder.md) - [Sleek Metallic Incense Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxury-incense-holder.md) - [Refillable Candle Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fill-mill.md)
