The story certainly influenced this shoot as you can see from the Mad Hatter-like character. Photographed by Dennis Ziliotto, the 'Niky Hearts' series is, however, much more [dark and even slightly disturbing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/junji-ito-artwork). Perhaps it has something to do with the '[Chucky'-like doll](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wicked-for-good) that she plays with. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.5/10 - Popularity: 96% | Activity: 90% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Fashion](https://www.trendhunter.com/fashion) > [Hip Fashion](https://www.trendhunter.com/hipfashion) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Dark Fairy Tales:** Opportunity for creating art and entertainment that combines classic stories with contemporary or dark themes. - **Toy Horror:** Opportunity for creating content or products that mix childhood toys with horror themes. - **Disturbing Photography:** Opportunity to create photography that blends innocence with horror or other unexpected elements. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Entertainment:** Opportunity to create movies and TV shows that put a new spin on classic fairy tales. - **Toy Manufacturing:** Opportunity to create toys that blend unexpected themes or inspire darkness and horror. - **Photography:** Opportunity to create photography that surprises and captivates viewers with unconventional pairings and themes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Surrealist-Inspired Tea Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tea-for-two-collection.md) - [Whimsical Halloween Decor Ranges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/michaels-alices-adventures-collection.md) - [Whimsically Designed Hotel Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cowley-manor-experimental.md) - [Pop Art Legend-Honoring Dolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keiichi-tanaami-1.md) - [Unique Artistic Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amusebouche.md) - [Artful Self-Expressive Camera Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/z-fc.md) - [Villain-Inspired Graphic Streetwear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saint-mxxxxxx.md) - [Distorted Burger Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ailloween.md) - [Skateboard-Themed Photography Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rabbit-hole-1.md)
