Fraudulent, imitation, bogus, counterfeit, knock-off, fake... whatever word you choose to describe non-licensed brand names products, they still remain somewhat of a novelty.

The quality of these products, usually made in south-east Asia, can vary greatly, from becoming defective in one day, to "I can't believe it isn't authentic!".

The fake [Nike](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/osmo-ai) brand shoes as pictured here though, are pretty laughable. As you can see, the fake brand imprint transforms itself to a temporary-tattoo.

I've heard worse though. On a TV show, there was an [imitation diamond ring](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gelnimbus-101-1) that dissolved in water.
