The plush owl toy is equipped with a sound-activated sensor that detects stirring and when activated, the owl gets to work putting children back to bed. Cloud b's Nighty Night Owl is capable of playing three different [soothing sounds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lunora), including one that mimics a mother's heartbeat, the rain, the ocean and whale songs. These sounds can be set on sleep timers, so that after either about 23 or 45 minutes, the toy will turn itself off. The toy is perfect for travel, especially since the familiar friend can be clipped onto strollers and cribs, making it especially easy for children to fall asleep in new places. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 46% | Activity: 50% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Alpha - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Youth](https://www.trendhunter.com/youth) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Smart Sleep Toys:** The Nighty Night Owl by Cloud b is an example of a smart sleep toy designed to aid children to sleep better. - **Sound-activated Sensors:** Sound-activated sensors are becoming a trend in the children's toys industry as they offer a new level of interactivity. - **Portable Sleep Aids:** Increasing demand for portable sleep aids creates an opportunity for manufacturers in the children's toys industry to develop products like the Nighty Night Owl by Cloud b. ### Who This Affects Most - **Children's Toys:** The Nighty Night Owl by Cloud b is a smart sleep toy in the children's toys industry. - **Baby Care:** Smart sleep toys like the Nighty Night Owl by Cloud b provide baby care solutions. - **Consumer Electronics:** Sound-activated sensors have potential for use in consumer electronics products in the future. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Soothing Auditory Infant Nightlights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vava-peepalight.md) - [Soothing Baby Sleep Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baby-napper.md) - [Smart Baby Sound Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baby-sleep-aid.md) - [Soothing Speaker-Equipped Night Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lullaby-talk.md) - [Cry-Detecting Sleep Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gianna-lullume-baby-soother.md) - [Portable Baby Sound Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sound-machine.md) - [Multisensory Sleep Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sleep-soother-machine.md) - [Soothing Portable Sound Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-sound-machine.md) - [Screen-Free Sleep Companions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sleepy-friends.md)
