According to the Parks, it is a 2,198-foot-long tunnel and was first made back in 1901 with shovels, pickaxes, and dynamite in order to combat the power of the waterfall. It has since shut down and now is re-opening once again to the public. To access the tunnel, visitors are to take a glass elevator that is 180 feet past the 6 levels of the structure.
