ACU, a popular footwear retailer that's based in [Shanghai](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plasma-lip-compound), helped to design a new [Vans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/old-skool-36-souvenir) Classic Slip-On that draws from elements of the Chinese city's street culture.

In order to do this, ACU adds on accents that have a high level of relevancy for those who call Shanghai home -- supplying it with [bits of fur](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harbor-mule-slipon), which is reportedly "a winter delicacy" there. The bottoms of the soles are meanwhile marked by blue and white stripes -- a design that's also included subtly on the upper of the new Vans Classic Slip-Ons as well.

In addition to this, the uppers are constructed of a double layer of colored material -- meaning that after many wears, the sneakers will turn from a dark green to a vibrant tone of orange.
