The lights consist of a rather simple wire and fixture, which works with a regular lightbulb to provide illumination. The bulb, however, is encapsulated between two sheets of [semi-transparent plexiglass sheets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lp-lamp) to help diffuse the light perfectly for a touch of [ambient lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aura-collection-1). The 'Nested' pendant light is designed in green and peach color options for the plexiglass, and offers a simple yet highly effective take on the classic [hanging light](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightmass). The lights could be used on their own or in small clusters to create an array of different effects. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 14% | Freshness: 12% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Semi-transparent Lighting:** There is an opportunity to create new lighting products that incorporate semi-transparent plexiglass sheets to provide unique lighting effects. - **Ambient Lighting:** The use of light diffusing technologies like semi-transparent plexiglass sheets presents an opportunity for creating ambient lighting products. - **Minimalist Lighting Fixtures:** The use of simple wire and fixture can provide a new direction for creating minimalist lighting fixtures with innovative designs. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can take advantage of using semi-transparent plexiglass sheets to create visually intriguing lighting effects in modern home and office interior designs. - **Lighting Industry:** The lighting industry can create new product lines that utilize semi-transparent plexiglass sheets to provide unique lighting effects for modern homes and offices. - **Architecture:** Architects can incorporate minimalist lighting fixtures with innovative designs using simple wire and fixtures, which can provide a new direction for designing modern homes and offices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stacked Illuminator Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/konnect-pendant-light.md) - [Metal Thread Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nest-lamp.md) - [Plant Pod-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nature-inspired-pendant-light.md) - [Bubble-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bubbles-lighting-design.md) - [Mixed Material Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gant-pendant-lights.md) - [Spun-Shade LED Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nivl-pendant.md) - [Dazzling Polyhedral Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/puff-pendant-lights.md) - [Bakery-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/croissant-pendant-light.md) - [3D-Printed Cloud-Like Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightmass-2025-pendants.md)
