Following the design studio's pension for [fibrous, ethereal designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nest-lamp), the [light fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nova-pendant-light) are like experiments out of a science lab. That, or they're the work of some kind of alien race. Or even of Mother Nature herself. In a big way, the Nervous System lighting collection brings a nice touch of nature into the home. At least, the more mysterious side of nature. Glowing moodily in living spaces, it throws enchanting shadows against the wall. In a way, they are practical art pieces that turns any home into James Cameron's vision of Pandora. According to Trendir, "Each lamp is individually 'grown' to emulate the [veins in a tree leaf](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/larose-guyon) and a great deal of research and development went into this design, including analyzing leading scientists' work." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 86% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Fibrous Lighting Designs:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop new lighting fixtures that use fibrous materials to create unique and ethereal designs. - **Nature-inspired Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the use of natural elements and patterns in lighting designs to create a mysterious and moody atmosphere. - **Practical Art Pieces:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine functionality and artistic expression in light fixtures, transforming them into captivating and functional home decor. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Lighting Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Push the boundaries of traditional lighting design by incorporating innovative materials and nature-inspired concepts. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce lighting fixtures that serve as artistic focal points in interior design, blurring the line between functional lighting and decorative art. - **Materials Science:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Conduct research on fibrous materials and their potential applications in various industries, including lighting design and beyond. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Organic Light Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lapso.md) - [Silkworm-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phantom-lighting.md) - [Otherworldly Lighting Fixture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/otherworldly-lighting-fixture.md) - [Human Physio-Themed Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dif-lamp.md) - [Bulbous Whimsical Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neotenic.md) - [Bamboo-Inspired Glass Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bamboo-forest-glss.md) - [Sculptural Biomaterial Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wevolve-labs.md) - [Experimental Ancestral Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kawabi.md) - [Algae-Based Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chandeliers-sconces.md)
