# Skyline Silhouette Hearths The Nerone Wall-Mounted Fireplace is Designed by James Di Marco By Shiori Mine | Published 2012-08-16 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nerone-wallmounted-fireplace References: [ifitshipitshere.blogspot](http://ifitshipitshere.blogspot.ca/2012/08/city-on-fire-nerone-wall-mounted.html) & [caleido.bs.it](http://caleido.bs.it/) Designed by James Di Marco, the Nerone wall-mounted fireplace adds a bit of metropolis flair to any contemporary home. The [decorative skyline](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/morandi-i-apartment) sits in front of the open flame, creating the illusion of a burning city scene. The hearth is made of a resin-coated steel, which provides a matte and sleek finish to this eye-catching decor piece. Like all Caleido fireplaces, this dark and graphic inferno is powered by an [eco-friendly bioethanol fuel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fireplace-designs). The silhouette is simple, but certainly grabs your attention when surrounded by a white or neutral interior. The Nerone wall-mounted fireplace is ideal for home owners who seek dual purpose designs and clean-cut aesthetics. The piece provides warmth when turned on and functions as a conversational art piece when off. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 16% | Activity: 38% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Contemporary Wall-mounted Fireplaces:** Opportunity for creating innovative fireplace designs that serve as both functional heating sources and decorative art pieces. - **Metropolis-inspired Home Decor:** Potential for developing decor pieces that incorporate cityscape silhouettes to add a modern and urban touch to interior spaces. - **Eco-friendly Heating Solutions:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for designing fireplaces powered by bioethanol fuel, providing a sustainable alternative to traditional heating methods. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Innovative fireplaces and home decor that merge functionality and aesthetics to enhance the overall interior design of residential and commercial spaces. - **Home Appliances:** Advancement in heating technology and eco-friendly fuel sources for fireplaces, offering energy-efficient solutions for heating homes. - **Art and Decor:** Interweaving art with home decor to create conversation-starting pieces that showcase cityscape silhouettes and other modern design elements. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mixed-Material Tabletop Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brasscene-harmony-flame-fireplace.md) - [Slick Modern Holographic Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holographic-fireplace.md) - [Portable Cylindrical Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ecosmart-fire-pillar-3t.md) - [Bioethanol Fireplace Website Debuts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/le-feu-fires.md) - [Convenient Personal Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personal-fireplace1.md) - [Innovative Fireplace Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fireplace-designs.md) - [Flatpack Virtual Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/graphene-radiator.md) - [Cooking-Friendly Outdoor Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/regg-surprise.md) - [Communal Fireplace Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hearth-coffee-table.md)
