Created by Instructables user BrittLiv from Germany, the Nerf N-Strike Vulcan sentry gun is powered by an [Arduino Uno controller](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kt2-kungfu-turtle) and can automatically lock and fire on targets, although it can be manually fired as well. Additionally, the Nerf N-Strike Vulcan sentry gun features a firing speed that is 50% faster than the base model, which is ideal for those who are looking to non-violently protect themselves from would-be enemies. Funny enough, the Nerf N-Strike Vulcan sentry gun was programmed by BrittLiv to not fire upon those wearing a shirt with an Instructables logo on it; go figure. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 60% | Activity: 58% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/toys) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Autonomous Sentry Guns:** The modification of Nerf guns into autonomous sentry guns presents opportunities for enhanced security and defense systems in various industries. - **Arduino-powered Weapons:** The use of Arduino Uno controllers to power modified Nerf guns opens up possibilities for innovative weapon customization in the defense and entertainment industries. - **Non-violent Self-defense:** The development of faster firing and autonomous Nerf guns promotes the adoption of non-violent self-defense methods, creating opportunities for companies in the personal protection and fitness industries. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Security Systems:** The integration of autonomous sentry guns into security systems can revolutionize the defense capabilities of industries such as residential, commercial, and military. - **Entertainment:** The application of Arduino-powered weapons in the entertainment industry can create immersive gaming experiences and attract new audiences. - **Personal Protection:** The advancement of non-violent self-defense methods using modified Nerf guns can lead to innovative personal protection products and services in the market. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Creator-Backed Toy Guns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mrbeast.md) - [Gel-Equipped Toy Blasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pro-gelfire-mythic.md) - [Compact Gel Capsule Blasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nerf-pro-gelfire-legion-blaster.md) - [Sci-Fi Foam Dart Blasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ee3-blaster.md) - [4-in-1 Gel Blasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unlocx-gel-blaster.md) - [Cutting-Edge Foam Dart Blasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/long-range-blasters.md) - [Digital Laser-Powered Blaster Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laser-tag-set.md) - [Prehistoric Foam Dart Blasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nerf-dinosquad-armorstrike-blaster.md) - [Video Game-Inspired Foam Blasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nerf-x-destiny-gjallarhorn-blaster.md)
