# LED-Embedded Sinks The Neorest II Vessel Lavatory by Toto Acts as a Nightlight By Meghan Young | Published 2014-06-05 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neorest-ii-vessel-lavatory References: [trendir](http://www.trendir.com/archives/007886.html) & [totousa](http://www.totousa.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=681) The Neorest II Vessel Lavatory is not one's typical sink, although at first glance it might not look all that different. Sleek and simple, it nevertheless has a unique feature that sets it apart from its competition. There are embedded LED lights that allow it to glow in the dark. This provides a neat little nightlight when taking [nighttime trips to the washroom](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/night-light-projectors). Designed by [Toto USa](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neolet), the LED feature Neorest II Vessel Lavatory also acts as a reminder to wash one's hands after using the toilet. The sink itself is made out of [scratch-resistant epoxy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infinito) and topped with an Angelic White finish. With great dimensions (lots of width and not too much height), the Neorest II Vessel Lavatory is great for many homes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Led-embedded Sinks:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporating LED lights into sinks to provide a unique and functional nightlight feature. - **Toilet Reminder Sinks:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Designing sinks with embedded LED lights as a reminder to wash hands after using the toilet. - **Scratch-resistant Epoxy Sinks:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating sinks with scratch-resistant epoxy materials for enhanced durability and longevity. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Improvement:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introducing LED-embedded sinks as a unique and stylish addition to home bathrooms. - **Bathroom Fixtures:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing toilet reminder sinks with LED lights to promote hygiene and cleanliness in public and private spaces. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Utilizing scratch-resistant epoxy sinks to provide functional and aesthetically pleasing options for interior designers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Futuristic Intelligent Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/intelligent-toilet.md) - [Ultra-Modern Freestanding Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freestanding-sink.md) - [Tech-Equipped Kitchen Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxury-kitchen-sink.md) - [Feature-Packed Smart Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neolet.md) - [Collaborative Seashell-Like Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spire-washbasin.md) - [Slick Bathroom Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slick-bathroom-sink.md) - [Angular Ceramic Sink Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/angle-washbasin.md) - [Electric Kiln-Made Unique Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volta-1.md) - [Sleek Four-Station Sinks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tlx-series-express-lavatory-system.md)
