# Shipwrecked Bottle Bulbs The Bouche Neon Lighting Series is a Brilliant Use of Colored Glass By Gil Cohen | Published 2013-05-01 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neon-lighting References: [crnchy](http://crnchy.com/stuff/bouche-neon-bottle-light-by-seletti/) & [seletti.it](http://www.seletti.it/lighting/bouche.php) Made for the Seletti product design company, the Bouche collection is a series of neon lighting that is embedded within beautifully [colored glass bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nola-lamp). Just like a model ship displayed within an old bottle, these [glass lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuloa) are marvels to behold, capturing a brilliant glow that is then filtered through the colored panes of the bottles. An old-fashioned cork acts as a stopper, creating a vintage look common to old whiskey bottles found on ancient shipwrecks. Just like a message in a bottle, intriguing wonders are held within the Bouche lamp bottles. The bulb consists of a tiny coil of neon lighting which casts a surprisingly bright light, an excellent design element for adding color to a drab work desk. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 88% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Colored Glass Lighting:** An opportunity to explore new designs and ways to incorporate colored glass into lighting fixtures. - **Vintage-inspired Lighting:** A chance to create lighting fixtures that are inspired by vintage looks and add character to modern spaces. - **Compact Neon Lighting:** A potential for designing small neon lighting elements that can be integrated into various products, such as lamps and small decor items. ### Where This Applies - **Lighting:** An opportunity for lighting companies to explore new designs and incorporate vintage and colored glass elements into their products. - **Home Decor:** A chance for home decor companies to create innovative and unique lighting fixtures that can add character to interiors. - **Product Design:** A potential for product designers to incorporate compact neon lighting elements into their products, creating engaging and unique designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Nautical-Inspired Warm LIghting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/booi.md) - [Candy-Colored Glass Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wave-ii.md) - [Pasta-Inspired Curvaceous Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neotenic-lamp.md) - [Balloon-Like Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-blown.md) - [Whimsical Glass Bubbled Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peeka.md) - [Artisanal Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neotenic-collection.md) - [Blown Glass-Inspired Lighting Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luisa-collection.md) - [Oversized Pen Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bic-lamp.md) - [Rechargeable Illuminating Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bouquet.md)
