[Nendo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nendo-andon-table) regularly produces innovative designs and concepts, so it comes as no surprise that their latest endeavor, called ‘lacquered paper-objects,’ is equally as impressive as their previous offerings.

Nothing about ‘lacquered paper-objects’ is as it seems. One first impression, viewers may mistake these things as [large black pebbles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illusion-box). They are, in fact, containers which have been finished using lacquer. One would assume that these containers were sculpted using a material like wood due to its shape and texture, but in actuality Nendo crafted these objects using a 3D printer that cut through copious layers of paper. The lacquer finishing acts as a binding agent to keep all the papers in place, and the final product emulates the look of wood grain despite being much more complex in design.
