Angas Kipa, an architectural firm that's based in the city of Chiclayo in Peru, has shown how innovative and fresh architectural thinking can be used to turn [neglected buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-sofia) into spectacular architectural examples with its rejuvenation of the Cabrera Building.

Situated in a historic central neighborhood in Chiclayo, the original building was abandoned and crumbling when Angas Kipa got involved. The architectural firm managed to install [vertical gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-c) that peek out of a [perforated facade](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sudameris-plaza), giving the building a green and lively exterior. This garden facade also enables sunlight and air to flood the building.

Transformed into a modern new office and home, this once neglected building is an exemplar of how intelligent design can be used to breathe new life into abandoned structures.
